I have three TS430s tranceivers all used to drive various transverters.. I remember there was a issue in the origional wiring shown in the operation insructions supplied (should refer to TS930 not TS430) The transverter drive socket is the eight pin DIN nearest to the main PL259 socket.. I have the connections as.... Pin 1 Earth Pin 2 +12volt on TX. low current. Pin 3 Earth Pin 4 TX 100w PA disable. Strap or switch to earth for HF/Transvert mode. Pin 5 RX input from transverter IF RX output. Pin 6 ALC. Pin 7 TX out to transverter Low power approx 10mw output. Pin 8 HF RX ant out. Loop via switch to pin 5 for HF/Transvert mode. The origional instuctions show Pin 4 and Pin 7 the wrong way round. The above is the correct wiring. When the DIN plug is inserted into the socket there is an internal switch which is operated as the plug is pushed home. Beware.... Do not insert or remove this Transverter plug while the TS430 is powered up. Switch off first.. Hope this info is of help.. The TS430 makes a very good transverter drive unit. I have had mine for about twenty years now with very little troble.. I have a diagram of the switch circuit by G3EDD if the above is not clear. Denis G3UVR
