Time blocking/boxing it is tough but it provides goal posts to say if I have not accomplished this task by the time block I set aside for it I need to evaluate: A) am I really focused on that task (as opposed to Facebook), B) Did I over/under estimate the effort and skill level to accomplish this task and C) Do I need to reach out for assistance or change up my method for accomplishing this task. Now I do cheat and use a computer as I abhor using paper but I remain disciplined to accomplish this first at the start of the work day.
