I’ve seen a lot of dashboards that failed to meet users’ and organizations’ expectations. There are a variety of reasons why this happens and, in this videos, I focus on one of the most common ones, which is that the people who designed the dashboard didn’t fully understand the distinction between status monitoring and performance monitoring.
We are gathering information on interfaces of modern and obsolete electronic hardware: pin-outs of interface ports, diagrams of PC components, wiring of various devices and connectors. Information on functions of pins in connectors (pinout) is essential for everyone who wants to explore modern hardware, investigate the way it works, interconnect various devices, make DIY electronic equipment.

In this video, we talk about the purpose of drivers and why they are necessary when working on embedded systems. Later, we go over how to install the Raspberry Pi kernel headers and use them to write a kernel driver for the device. Finally, we install the kernel driver and prove that it is running

These notebooks sold at Radio Shack when I was growing up in the mid 70s and 80s were very popular and great education source. From the Wikimedia article: "Forrest M. Mims III is an American amateur scientist, magazine columnist, and author of Getting Started in Electronics and Engineer's Mini-Notebook series of instructional books that were originally sold in Radio Shack electronics stores. Mims graduated from Texas A&M University in 1966 with a major in government and minors in English and history. He became a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force."

I have been using DuckDuckGo as my search engine of choice for the last few years. Howerver, DuckDuckGo seems to have a few problems:
It is based in the US, arguably not the most privacy-respecting jurisdiction in the world.
Only part of their source code is open.
Uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a cloud provider and Cloudfare CDS.
It looks like their browser was caught tracking visited websites per user.
At the end of the day, you can’t really know that they are telling the truth when they promise not to track you.
In this post, I’m discussing Searx, a better alternative to DuckDuckGo that is truly open and driven by the community.

While there is not much information regarding the Himo Togarashi within the U.S., it is known that the Togarashi pepper plant originates in Japan and is considered to be a traditional vegetable of the Nara Prefecture. The Nara Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of Japan and is known to be one of the oldest regions to date. Nara Japan grows and produces rice, tea, eggplants, other vegetables…and of course Himo Togarashi peppers! Himo 紐 in Japanese translates to “string” while Togarashi 唐辛子 translates to “chili pepper“. These peppers grow to be about 4-6 inches in length and hang downwards from their stems like strings. They also resemble strings due to their skinny appearance, with a diameter averaging only about .25”.
Himo Togarshi is a specialty green pepper that is a Yamato dento yasai, which means it has been selected as a Nara perfecture traditional vegetable. The pepper grows 4-6" long and up to .25" in diameter (less than the diameter of a pencil). The peppers hang down on the plant and look like strings or himo in Japanese.
